Jindal Stainless Limited: The Board of Directors of Jindal Stainless and Jindal Stainless (Hisar) (JSHL) have approved the merger of Jindal Stainless (Hisar) into Jindal Stainless. As per the approved share swap ratio, 195 equity shares of Jindal Stainless will be issued for every 100 equity shares of Jindal Stainless (Hisar). With the appointed date of April 1, 2020, the merger process is expected to be completed in H2 FY22. Merged entity to have stainless steel melt production capacity of 1.9 Million Tonnes Per Annum. The merger will also induce a simplified capital structure, expanding the turnover of the merged business to Rs 20,000 crore.


Jindal Steel & Power: Indian Railways has awarded Regular Supplier status to the company for 60 kg 880 grade (90UTS) Rails. With this, Indian Railways, its subsidiary and track laying contractors can source 60kg 880 grade (90UTS) Rails manufactured by JSPL and utilise them for their ongoing and upcoming projects.


UPL: Has completed the pre-payment worth $410 million of 3.25% Senior Notes due October 2021. The pre-payment, which concluded on December 28, 2020, was done using the cash on its balance sheet. This prepayment is in line with its commitment to reduce debt.


Sadbhav Engineering: A meeting of equity shareholders to be held on January 29, 2021 to consider and approve the Scheme of Amalgamation of Sadbhav Infrastructure Project with Sadbhav Engineering and their respective Shareholders and Creditors.

Coal India: Board accorded in-principle approval to venture into Aluminium Value Chain and Solar Power Value Chain. It has also approved creating Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), subject to approval from the Niti Aayog, DIPAM and after feasibility studies and business analysis are completed and financial viability is established for Solar Power Value Chain, New & Renewable Energy business vertical and an integrated aluminium complex, which will be a greenfield project by Central Coalfields.


Cadila Healthcare: Zydus Cadila submits Phase I and II clinical trial data of ZyCoV-D and has sought approval to begin phase III clinical trials. Immunogenicity in Phase II clinical trial of ZyCoV-D in healthy subjects clearly established as also endorsed by the Independent Data Safety Monitoring Board. The company plans to initiate Phase III clinical trials in around 30,000 volunteers post necessary approvals


NIIT: Board approves buyback of 98.75 lakh equity shares of face value of Rs. 2 each. The buyback amounts to 6.97% of the total equity. Buyback price of Rs 240 per share is a 20% premium to Thursday's closing price.


Westlife Development: Royalty for FY21 and FY22 remains fixed at 4%. The company has opened four new stores post March 2020. Over the last two quarters, the company has seen healthy recovery in business with dine-in building up rapidly, even as its convenience channels continue to grow.


DLF: DLF Cyber City Developers enters into a securities purchase agreement with Hines to acquire 51.8% stake in Fairleaf for a purchase consideration of approximately Rs 780 crore. The transaction is expected to be consummated in the next quarter, subject to requisite closing conditions, post which Fairleaf will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of DLF Cyber City Developers. DCCDL already holds 48.2% stake in Fairleaf.


Advanced Enzymes Technologies: To acquire 51% of equity share capital of SciTech Specialities, post which, SSPL will become a subsidiary of the company. The acquisition will be done for a cash consideration of Rs 31.26 crore and is likely to be completed by January 31, 2021. SSPL specialises in effervescent granules and tablets and the acquisition fits with the company's move to expand into the B2C business.


Lupin: Gets tentative approval from the U.S. FDA for its Efinaconazole Topical Solution, 10%. It is used in the topical treatment of onychomycosis of the toenails. For the 12-months ending September 2020, it had annual sales of $222.9 million in the U.S., as per IQVIA data.


Dish TV: Gets demand notice worth Rs 4,164.05 crore from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The said amount includes License Fee Payable and accrued interest thereon. The ministry has asked the company to remit the amount within a period of 15 days. The company also said that the amount is further subject to verification and audit and outcome of various court cases pending before the TDSAT, the Jammu & Kashmir Highcourt and the Supreme Court, in the matter of DTH License fee.


Asian Granito: Expanding export network to over 120 countries from 100. Anti-China sentiments, reduction in gas proces and robust export orders from U.S., Europe, U.K. and the Middle-East are driving the export business in the current fiscal and it is likely to get further momentum in the coming months. 


Consolidated exports rose to around 17.6% of overall revenue in H1FY21 as compared to 13.8% in H1FY20. Inaugurated 15,000 square feet AGL Export House at Morbi to strengthen the company's international operations.


Biocon: U.S. FDA informs Biocon Biologics of deferred action on the Biologics License Application (BLA) for MYL-14020, a proposed biosimilar to Avastin. The agency noted that an inspection of the manufacturing facility is required as part of the standard review process. However, due to restruction on travel, the agency is unable to conduct an inspection during the current review cycle.

Wipro: The company has announced a significant, strategic, digital and I.T. partnership deal with METRO AG. As part of this transaction, Wipro will take over the I.T. units of METRO AG — METRO-NOM GMBH in Germany and METRO Systems Romania S.R.L. The estimated deal value for the duration of the first 5 years is approximately $700 million. With the intention to extend up to 4 additional years, it can be a potential spend of up to $1 billion.


Infosys: Daimler and Infosys have announced a long-term strategic partnership for a technology-driven I.T. infrastructure transformation. After the receipt of all regulatory approvals, Daimler AG will transform its I.T. operating model and infrastructure landscape across workplace services, service desk, data center, networks and SAP Basis together with Infosys. The collaboration will empower Daimler to strengthen its IT capabilities, and Infosys, its automotive expertise.


Bajaj Auto: To spend Rs 650 crore to set up a new manufacturing facility at Chakan, Maharashtra. The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the state government for the same. The factory to be utilized for manufacturing high-end KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph motorcycles as well as for electric vehicles starting with the Chetak scooter. The facility is expected to commence production in 2023.


Jubilant Foodworks: Introduced plant-protein Pizza called ‘The Unthinkable Pizza.’ To be available at all Domino's restaurants across Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The company had forayed into the Biryani space last week with the launch of Ekdum! brand.


Zensar Technologies: Has been selected by NFU Mutual, the UK’s leading rural insurer, to form a new strategic technology and digital relationship to support multiple technologies that underpin a number of the company’s key business systems.


Fine Organic Industries: The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board has directed the company to stop operations at factory premises situated at Plot No. N-2, MIDC Additional, Ambernath, Thane for alleged violation of the provisions of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention and Control Pollution), Act, 1981 and the Rules made thereunder. The company says it is taking steps to respond to the notice.


Dishman Carbogen Amcis: Promoter Adimans Technologies LLP sold 19.74 lakh shares to non-retail investors on December 18, 2020 and sold 18,674 shares to retail investors on December 21, 2020, through the Offer for Sale. In aggregate, this amounts to 1.27% of the equity share capital of the company. The company had planned to sell close to 69 lakh shares i.e. 4.4% of the total paid-up equity share capital, through the OFS.


Aster DM Healthcare: The subsidiary of the company, Aster Caribbean Holdings, has entered into an agreement with the Cayman Islands Government to further a healthcare project in the Cayman Islands to be known as the Aster Cayman Medcity for the provision of healthcare services. The agreement will see Aster initially develop a 150-bed comprehensive, tertiary and quaternary hospital, alongside an assisted living facility and healthcare university in the long-term.


IFB Agro Industries: The company has alleged that its alcohol business is under threat, as it has been singled out by certain excise officials for not succumbing to their illegal demands and have requested the Chief Minister of West Bengal and also Finance, Commerce and Industry Minister of the state to look into the matter.


Forbes & Company: The Board of Directors has approved entering into Memorandum of Understanding with GPX India and Equinix India for sale of approximately 3.804 acres of land at Chandivali for a consideration of Rs 200 crore. The MoU is terminable at the option of GPX. The Agreement for Sale is expected to be executed by January 31 , 2021 and the completion of the Proposed Transaction is expected to be completed in March 2021.


Mahindra & Mahindra: SsangYong Motor Company, a material subsidiary of the company, has intimated the Korean Stock Exchange that it could not repay the loan amount of 40 billion KRW (approximately Rs 268 crore) to JP Morgan on account of SYMC's application for rehabilitation.


Jagran Prakashan: The company has subscribed 25 lakh shares in its immaterial wholly-owned subsidiary, Mid-day Infomedia Limited, of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 10 per share, for cash on rights basis. The investment is made to provide long-term funding to Mid-day Infomedia.


LT Foods: CRISIL has revised its outlook on the long-term bank facilities of the company to 'Positive' from 'Stable' while reaffirming the rating at 'A-'. The short-term rating has been reaffirmed at 'A2+'.


JSW Steel: Periama Holdings, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Steel, has allotted additional fixed rate senior unsecured notes of $250 million. The additional notes are fungible, consolidated and form a single series with the fixed rate senior unsecured notes of $500 million issued by the Issuer in October 2020.

Lupin: Has received approval for its Rufinamide Oral Suspension, 40 mg/ml, from U.S. FDA, to market a generic equivalent of Banzel Oral Suspension, 40 mg/ml, of Eisai Inc. Rufinamide Oral Suspension, 40 mg/ ml had estimated annual sales of $124.5 million in the U.S. for the 12-month period ending September 2020, as per IQVIA data.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises: The board approved the acquisition of film production & distribution business as a going concern, on a slump sale basis from Zee Studios, and approved the transfer of the digital publishing biz division to Rapidcube Tecbnologies. The board also approved the appointment of Sasha Mirchandani & Vivek Mehra as independent directors.


IDFC: Sipadan Investments (Mauritius) sold 2.17 percent stake in IDFC during November 23-December 16, reducing total shareholding to 7.3 percent.

BPCL: The Board of Directors of the company have approved the merger of Bharat Gas Resources Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BPCL, with the company, subject to the approval of the competent authorities and completion of regulatory and other requirements. The board has also accorded its approval for the acquisition of 88.86 crore (36.62%) shares in Bharat Oman Refineries Ltd from OQ S.A.0.C.(formerly Oman Oil Company S.A.O.C), subject to the finalisation of definitive agreement between parties, the approval of the competent authorities and completion of regulatory and other requirements. The Board has also approved the proposal to approach Government of Madhya Pradesh for acquiring 2.69 crore warrants held by GoMP in BORL.


I.T. Stocks: Accenture raises FY21 revenue guidance to 4-6% from the earlier 2-5%.


Dishman Carbogen: Promoters Adimans Technologies plans to sell close to 69 lakh shares of the company through an offer for sale. The share sale represents 4.4% of the total paid-up equity share capital. The company will retain a greenshoe option to sell another 69 lakh shares. The floor price of 145.7 rupees per share is at 6% discount to Thursday's closing price. The OFS for non-retail investors opens on December 18 while for retail investors it opens on December 21.


Godrej Agrovet: The Department of Horticulture, Government of Telangana has allotted area admeasuring 28,164 Hectares in the Mahabubabad District of Telangana to the Company, for the purpose of oil palm cultivation/expansion. The said allotment is subject to execution of Memorandum of Agreement and completion of other procedural requirements by the company.


ISGEC Heavy Engineering: Has secured a new order from KPR Sugar & Apparels Limited to set up a 10,000 TCD Sulphurless Sugar Plant, 40 MW Co-Generation Plant, 60 TPH Incineration Boiler and a 7.5 MW Power Plant for Zero Liquid Discharge system for the client’s distillery plant on EPC basis. The order is valued at Rs 431 crore.


Defence Stocks: Defence Acquisition Council headed by Union Minister Rajnath Singh approved Capital Acquisition of various weapons/platforms/equipment/systems required by the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force at an approximate overall cost of Rs 28,000 crore, as per the Press Information Bureau.


Canara Bank: Life Insurance Corporation of India has acquired 6.28 crore shares through the QIP, taking its total shareholding in the bank to 8.35% from 4.533%.


Borosil Renewables: Raises Rs 200 crore through its QIP issue. The company has set an issue price of Rs 126.55 per share, which is a 5% discount from the QIP floor price of Rs 133.19 per share.


Tata Motors: Extends date for completion of the Conditions Precedents mentioned in the Scheme of Arrangement between the Company and Tata Advanced Systems Limited for transfer of Defense Undertaking.


Everest Kanto Cylinders: CARE Ratings has revised the credit rating on long-term Bank facilities of Rs 103.57 crore to BB+/Stable from BBB- and the rating on short-term Bank facilities of Rs 69.92 crore has been revised to A4+ from A3.

Navin Fluorine: The board approved capital expenditure (to be undertaken at Dahej through wholly owned subsidiary Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences) of Rs 195 crore for the purpose of setting up a multi-purpose plant.


Wipro: The company completed the acquisition of 83.4 percent equity stake in Encore Theme.


Siti Networks: The board approved the acquisition of 51 percent equity stake in E-Net Entertainment.

Wipro: The company has completed the acquisition of 83.4% equity stake in Encore Theme. The remaining 16.6% equity stake will be acquired subject to and after receipt of certain regulatory approvals/confirmations.


IndusInd Bank: SEBI has granted extension of one month for subscription to the warrants i.e., until February 4, 2021 to complete the said conversion worth Rs 2,021.44 crore into equity. In view of the disruption caused by the Covid- 19 pandemic, the bank had, at the request of IIHL and IL, approached SEBI for extension in time for payment of balance amount.


Navin Fluorine: The Board of Directors has approved capital expenditure for setting up a Multi-Purpose Plant with an outlay of Rs 195 crore. The capex will be undertaken by the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences Ltd. at Dahej, Gujarat and will be funded through a mix of internal accruals and debt. The new capacity is expected to come onstream in H1FY23 and is aimed at creating new opportunities in the life sciences and crop sciences sectors.


Snowman Logistics: The Board of Directors to consider a proposal for raising of funds by way of a Qualified Institutions Placement at its meeting on December 21.


Computer Age Management Services: The company has been considered eligible for selection and further grant of registration as a Central Record Keeping Agency under the National Pension Scheme under the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Regulations, 2015. Bombay Rayon Fashions: As part of the restructuring process, the company is in the process of hiving off its Tarapur Yarn Dying and Fabric Process unit to its subsidiary company BRFL Textiles under a slump sale consideration. Post this transaction, a set of Private Equity investors will infuse capital into BRFL Textiles, which will be utilised for funding the working capital for ramp-up of operations. The company expects the new entity to generate revenues worth over Rs 2,000 crore annually.


Lakshmi Vilas Bank: The trading in the equity shares of the bank will be withdrawn (delisted) from December 18, 2020 pursuant to gazette notification dated November 25, 2020 issued by Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.

Videocon Industries: The Committee of Creditors has approved the resolution plan submitted by Twin Star Technologies Limited and the plan has been filed with the National Company Law Tribunal, Mumbai.


Olectra Greentech: Evey Trans and Olectra Greentech have been declared as L-1 bidders for 353 electric buses from 5 state transport authorities and one state government undertaking, under the FAME-II scheme of Government. Tenders for 300 buses are on Gross Cost Contract/OPEX model basis for a period of 10-12 years and tenders for 53 buses are on an outright sale basis participated by the company alone. Value of these tenders is approximately Rs 600 crore.


Jubilant FoodWorks: Has launched a new brand, Ekdum, which will offer twenty different biryanis curated from various parts of India. Ekdum will start with three restaurants in Gurgaon.
