Bandhan Bank: RBI lifted regulatory restrictions on the remuneration of the bank's Managing Director and CEO. With this, all the regulatory restrictions imposed by the central bank are now withdrawn.


Paisalo Digital will consider raising funds through various options, including issue of debt securities by private placement basis, in August and/or September.


Jump Networks will grow its proprietary blockchain platform across India by partnering and investing with MOS Utility. Partnership is expected to generate a revenue of over Rs 1,000 crore in the next 12 months.

RBL Bank to consider raising of funds by issuing equity shares on a preferential basis on Aug. 20.


Delta Corp: Temporary suspension of operations has had an impact on the revenue of casino and hospitality business but the online skill gaming business continues to operate and grow, the company said. Normalcy could be gradually restored during the financial year ending March 2021.


Triveni Engineering: Approved Rs 65 crore buyback through the tender offer process at a price of Rs 105 per share.

SBI Cards raises Rs 500 crore via 5.75% 2023 bonds.


Canara Bank to exercise the call option for the redemption of 8.62% unsecured redeemable subordinate non-convertible upper tier-II bonds series III amounting to Rs 1,000 crore subject to approval from RBI. Sets Aug. 28 as the record date for the purpose of ascertaining the name of bondholders eligible to receive the interest or principal due on the bonds.


SEBI has imposed a penalty aggregating to Rs 10 Lakh on State Bank of India for non-compliance of mutual fund regulations with the directions issued by the SEBI in the case of holding, more than prescribed limit, equity shares of UTI AMC Ltd and UTI Trustee Company Pvt. Ltd.


Tata Steel fixes Aug. 28 as the record date for redemption of commercial papers worth Rs 1,150 crore.

Delhi High Court directs that placing Reliance Home Finance and Reliance Commercial Finance in the category of "Fraud" shall be kept in abeyance. No step prejudicial to the interest of the company shall be taken till the next hearing on Sept. 29, 2020. A writ petition was filed by the company challenging the wrongful action of Bank of Baroda, the lender and lead bank of the consortium, of classifying the company's account as fraud.


Quess Corp to disinvest 100% stake in its wholly-owned subsidiary Dependo Logistics Solutions Private Limited in an all-cash deal. The transaction is expected to be completed by Aug. 20.

World Indices

 Asia Pacific stocks little changed as Washington ups the pressure on China’s Huawei


Stocks in Asia Pacific were little changed in Tuesday morning trade as investors continued to watch developments in U.S.-China tensions.


In Japan, both the Nikkei 225 and Topix index traded marginally lower. Over in South Korea, where stocks returned to trade following a Monday holiday, the Kospi was just below the flatline.


Shares in Australia edged higher, with the S&P/ASX 200 up 0.38%. The Reserve Bank of Australia’s meeting minutes are set to be released around 9:30 a.m. HK/SIN on Tuesday.


Overall, the MSCI Asia ex-Japan index traded 0.16% higher.


Tensions between Washington and Beijing are likely to continue to weigh on investor sentiment. U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration announced Monday a further tightening of restrictions on Huawei, aimed at limiting the Chinese telecommunications giant’s access to commercially available chips. 


Overnight stateside, the S&P 500 rose 0.3% to close at 3,381.99. The Nasdaq Composite gained 1% to end its trading day at 11,129.73, hitting an all-time high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lagged, falling 85 points, or about 0.3%, to close at 27,844.91.


The U.S. dollar index, which tracks the greenback against a basket of its peers, was last at 92.813 after earlier touching levels around 92.8.


The Japanese yen traded at 105.94 per dollar after strengthening from levels above 106.4 against the greenback yesterday. The Australian dollar changed hands at $0.7217 after yesterday’s rise from below $0.72.


Oil prices dipped in the morning of Asian trading hours, with international benchmark Brent crude futures down slightly to $45.34 per barrel. U.S. crude futures shed about 0.1% to $42.85 per barrel.
