Larsen & Toubro: The infrastructure major has reported a robust 24 percent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 2,553 crore despite weak operating margin performance. Consolidated revenues at Rs 46,390 crore for the quarter grew by 17 percent YoY aided by improved execution in the infrastructure projects segment and continued growth momentum in the IT&TS portfolio. The company received orders worth Rs 60,710 crore during the quarter, a 21 percent YoY growth, taking the consolidated order book to Rs 3.86 lakh crore as of December FY23.


Tech Mahindra: The IT services company has clocked a 0.9 percent sequential growth in consolidated profit at Rs 1,297 crore for quarter ended December FY23, with revenue rising 4.6 percent QoQ to Rs 13,735 crore, beating analysts' estimates. Revenue in dollar terms grew by 1.8 percent QoQ to $1,668 million with constant currency revenue growth at 0.2 percent. Operating numbers were ahead of expectations while deal wins at $795 million for the quarter.


Bharat Petroleum Corporation: The state-owned oil retailer clocked a standalone profit of Rs 1,960 crore for December FY23 quarter against a loss of Rs 304.2 crore in the previous quarter, with strong operating performance amid a fall in oil prices. Revenue grew by nearly 4 percent sequentially to Rs 1.19 lakh crore.


REC: The power projects finance company has recorded a 4 percent year-on-year growth in standalone profit at Rs 2,878 crore for quarter ended December FY23, with a weak topline. Standalone revenue from operations at Rs 9,695 crore fell by 3.1 percent compared to the year-ago period.


IIFL Finance: The company has clocked a massive 37 percent year-on-year growth in profit at Rs 423.2 crore for the quarter ended December FY23, with revenue from operations rising 18 percent YoY to Rs 2,121 crore for the quarter. Pre-provision operating profit at Rs 773 crore grew by 26 percent YoY. Overall core loan portfolio grew by 26 percent YoY, but the non-core (primarily construction and real estate finance) portfolio shrunk by 7 percent. Asset quality improved with gross non-performing assets (NPA) falling 30 bps QoQ to 2.1 percent and net NPA declining 10 bps QoQ to 1.1 percent for the quarter.


Adani Enterprises: International Holding Company, the diversified Abu Dhabi-based conglomerate, will be investing $400 million in Adani Enterprises' further public offering (FPO), through its subsidiary Green Transmission Investment Holding RSC Limited. The Rs 20,000 crore FPO was subscribed 3 percent on the second day of bidding.


KEC International: The infrastructure EPC major and an RPG Group company secured new orders of Rs 1,131 crore across various businesses including transmission and distribution, and civil segment. With these orders, the YTD order intake stands at over Rs 15,500 crore, a growth of 10 percent YoY.

Hinduja Global Solutions: The board approved the proposal to buy back 60 lakh shares (24.59%) at Rs 1,700 apiece to raise Rs 1,020 crore.


Dixon Technologies (India): The company signed a term sheet with Mega Alliance Holdings for a 51:49 joint venture to design and manufacture mobile communication equipment and related Solutions in India.


Cressanda Solutions: The board approved raising Rs 49.50 crore via a rights issue. Meanwhile, managing director Soumyadri Bose has resigned from the position, effective Jan. 27.


NMDC: Department of Investment and Public Asset Management announced that it has received multiple expressions of interest for privatisation of the NMDC Steel plant, and now the transaction can move to the second phase.


Borosil Renewables: The company started trial production from the second rolling line of SG-3 solar glass furnace.

Bharti Airtel: The telecom operator has confirmed that it has raised minimum tariff plans in seven circles. It raised the minimum tariff plan to Rs 155 from Rs 99-111 earlier, reports CNBC-TV18. Bharti Airtel spokesperson said the company discontinued metered tariff and introduced an entry-level plan of Rs 155 in seven circles.


Barbeque-Nation Hospitality: Anurag Mittal has resigned as Chief Financial Officer of the company. He will cease to be Chief Financial Officer from February 7, 2023. The company will release its quarterly earnings scorecard on February 7.


Triveni Engineering Industries: The company said the board members have approved further capex of Rs 90 crore for the sugar business group and Rs 100 crore capex for power transmission operations. In addition, the company has reported a 13 percent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 147.3 crore for the quarter ended December FY23, led by lower tax cost and higher other income. Revenue grew by 34 percent to Rs 1,659 crore compared to the year-ago period, but operating profit fell 4.6 percent YoY to Rs 193.4 crore for the quarter.


Pidilite Industries: The adhesives, sealants and construction chemicals manufacturer has reported a 14.3 percent year-on-year decline in consolidated profit at Rs 307.7 crore for quarter ended December FY23, impacted by a lower operating margin. Revenue grew by 5.2 percent to Rs 2,998 crore compared to the year-ago period with C&B business growing at 7 percent. In Q3FY22, it registered robust growth as a result of trade increasing inventory stocking because of substantial price increases in the quarter. Overall numbers missed analysts' expectations.


TVS Motor Company: The two-and-three-wheeler manufacturer has clocked a 22 percent year-on-year growth in standalone profit at Rs 352.8 crore for December FY23 quarter despite higher input costs. Revenue from operations grew by 14.7 percent to Rs 6,545 crore compared to the year-ago period, with volume rising 0.09 percent to 8.79 lakh YoY. Operating profit at Rs 659 crore increased by 16 percent with a margin expansion of 10 bps at 10.1 percent compared to the same period last year. The board members have declared an interim dividend of Rs 5 per share.


Nazara Technologies: The gaming and sports media platform has clocked a 76 percent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 18.1 crore for the quarter ended December FY23 despite the weak operating performance, led by topline and other income. Revenue from operations at Rs 315 crore grew by 69.4 percent compared to the year-ago period. Operating profit increased by 3.4 percent YoY to Rs 30.1 crore and margin fell 6 percentage points YoY to 9.6 percent for the quarter.


Macrotech Developers: The real estate developer has registered a 41.7 percent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 404.5 crore despite lower revenue and weak operating performance, supported by other income and lower tax costs. Revenue for the quarter at Rs 1,774 crore declined 14 percent, but pre-sales grew by 16 percent YoY to Rs 3,035 crore compared to the year-ago period. The company reduced net debt by Rs 753 crore to Rs 8,042 crore.


Indus Towers: The mobile tower installation company has posted a consolidated loss of Rs 708.2 crore for the quarter ended December FY23 against a profit of Rs 1,570.8 crore in the same period last fiscal, as the company made doubtful debt provision of Rs 2,298 crore against receivables from one of the telecom companies. Revenue fell 2.3 percent YoY to Rs 6,765 crore for the quarter, and EBITDA tanked 68 percent to Rs 1,185.8 crore compared to the year-ago period.

Axis Bank: The private sector lender has reported a massive 62 percent year-on-year increase in Q3FY23 profit at Rs 5,853 crore despite higher provisions, led by healthy other income, operating profit and net interest income. Net interest income grew by 32.4 percent to Rs 11,459 crore compared to the year-ago period, with strong 15 percent loan growth and an expansion in net interest margin. Asset quality improved but slippages remained elevated on a sequential basis for the quarter.


Poonawalla Fincorp: The non-banking finance company has registered a strong 89 percent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 182.1 crore for the quarter ended December FY23, with writeback of impairment of financial instruments for the quarter. Net interest income grew by 42 percent YoY to Rs 463.7 crore during the quarter.


Dilip Buildcon: Dilip Buildcon and Skyway Infraprojects joint venture has declared as L-1 bidder for the tender floated by Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam Maryadit, Bhopal. The order is worth Rs 1,947.06 crore. Also, its subsidiary Raipur-Visakhapatnam-CG-2 Highways Limited has received the appointed date letter from the National Highways Authority of India and had declared the appointed date as January 9, 2023.


Amber Enterprises: The contract manufacturer of room air-conditioners reported a 56 percent year-on-year decline in consolidated profit at Rs 14.2 crore for December FY23 quarter dented by margin, with a significant increase in raw material cost, employee expenses and finance cost. Revenue from operations for the quarter grew by 38.4 percent to Rs 1,348.3 crore compared to the year-ago period.


Container Corporation of India: The state-owned logistics company has reported a 3.5 percent year-on-year growth in standalone profit at Rs 296.5 crore for quarter ended December FY23, with healthy operating profit and margin. Revenue for the quarter grew by 3.6 percent to Rs 1,988.4 crore compared to the year-ago period.


Gland Pharma: The pharma company has reported a 15 percent year-on-year decline in profit at Rs 232 crore for December FY23 quarter with lower topline as well as weak operating performance. Revenue from operations for the quarter at Rs 938 crore declined 12 percent compared to the year-ago period.


FSN E-Commerce Ventures: The Nykaa Fashion operator said the board members have appointed P Ganesh as Chief Financial Officer and key managerial personnel of the company effective February 3, 2023.


Welspun Corp: Associate company, East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has signed contracts for the supply of steel pipes for water transmission with a total value of SAR 569 million. The pipes have to be supplied within 12 months and the financial impact of this will be starting in Q1FY24.

Hindustan Unilever: The FMCG major clocked an 11.7 percent year-on-year growth in standalone profit at Rs 2,505 crore for the quarter ended December FY23, backed by revenue from operations that grew by 16.3 percent to Rs 15,228 crore for the quarter with domestic volume growth at 5 percent, and higher other income. Profitability was impacted by an exceptional loss of Rs 102 crore for the quarter against Rs 66 crore in the year-ago period. At the operating level, EBITDA increased 7.9 percent to Rs 3,537 crore but the margin fell 180 bps YoY to 23.2 percent in Q3FY23 impacted by higher raw material costs. Royalty fees paid by the company to Unilever Plc have been increased to 3.45 percent from 2.65 percent of turnover.


PVR: The multiplex chain operator has reported a consolidated profit of Rs 16.1 crore for the quarter ended December FY23, against a loss of Rs 10.2 crore in the same period last year. Consolidated revenue for the quarter at Rs 941 crore increased by 53 percent, with the movie exhibition business growing 37 percent and others (including movie production & distribution) by 23.5 percent YoY. EBITDA in Q3FY23 grew by 75 percent to Rs 288.8 crore and the margin expanded by nearly 4 percentage points to 30.7 percent for the quarter YoY.


Sun Pharmaceutical Industries: The pharma company is going to acquire Concert Pharmaceuticals for $576 million or $8 per share. Concert stockholders will also receive a non-tradeable contingent value right (CVR) entitling holders to receive up to an additional $3.50 per share on deuruxolitinib achieving certain net sales milestones within specified periods. Concert is a late-stage biotechnology company, developing deuruxolitinib, an oral inhibitor of Janus kinases JAK1 and JAK2 for the treatment of alopecia areata, an autoimmune dermatological disease.


Can Fin Homes: The company has reported a 31 percent year-on-year growth in profit at Rs 151.5 crore for quarter ended December FY23, supported by lower provisions. Net interest income for the quarter at Rs 251.71 crore grew by 22.23 percent YoY. Asset quality improved with gross non-performing assets (NPA) improving by 2 bps QoQ to 0.60 percent and net NPA falling 5 bps to 0.30 percent in Q3FY23.


Hindustan Zinc: The company has reported a 20.2 percent year-on-year decline in consolidated profit at Rs 2,156 crore for quarter ended December FY23, impacted by lower revenue, operating income and higher power & fuel cost. Revenue fell 1.6 percent YoY to Rs 7,866 crore for the quarter. EBITDA fell 15.2 percent to Rs 3,707 crore and margin dropped 760 bps to 47.1 percent compared to year-ago period. The company will pay an interim dividend of Rs 13 per share for FY23 and will buy international zinc assets from Vedanta by subscribing to the shares of THL Zinc for $2,981 million.


L&T Technology Services: The engineering services company has reported a 7.5 percent sequential growth in profit at Rs 303.6 crore for December FY23 quarter, with revenue rising 2.7 percent to Rs 2,048.6 crore and revenue in dollar terms increasing 0.4 percent to $248 million for the quarter. At the operating level, EBIT climbed 6.3 percent sequentially to Rs 382.9 crore and margin expanded 60 bps to 18.7 percent for the quarter. Also the company received a multi-year contract from Airbus for providing advanced engineering capabilities and digital manufacturing services.


Tata Consultancy Services: Canadian business jet manufacturer, Bombardier selected TCS as its strategic IT partner, to accelerate its digital transformation & drive innovation.

Tata Metaliks: The Tata Group company has reported a profit of Rs 9.48 crore for the December FY23 quarter, falling 74 percent year-on-year dented by weak operating performance. Input cost and finance cost hit the bottom line. However, revenue from operations grew by 14.5 percent YoY to Rs 790.23 crore for the quarter.


Glenmark Pharmaceuticals: The pharma company entered into an agreement with Eris Oaknet Healthcare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Eris Lifesciences, to divest the tail brands from its dermatology segment, for India and Nepal territories. The transaction cost is Rs 340.48 crore. The divested tail brands include Onabet, Halovate, Sorvate, Luligee, Demelan, Aceret, Dosetil, Revize, and Powercort, and their sub-brands. This divestment is in line with Glenmark's strategy of focusing on its leading brands in the dermatology segment.


ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company: The insurance company has reported an 11 percent year-on-year growth in profit at Rs 352.53 crore for the quarter ended December FY23. Premium earned at Rs 3,792 crore for the quarter grew by 14.5 percent YoY and total income grew by 13.2 percent to Rs 4,362 crore in Q3FY23.


Gokaldas Exports: Goldman Sachs Asset Management International bought an additional 0.018 percent stake in the company via open market transactions on January 13. With this, its shareholding in Gokaldas rose to 5.003 percent, from 4.985 percent earlier.


Coforge: Life Insurance Corporation of India purchased an additional 0.057 percent stake in the IT services company via open market transactions on January 16. With this, LIC's shareholding in the company increased to 5.033 percent, from 4.976 percent earlier.


ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company: The life insurance company has recorded a 29 percent year-on-year fall in standalone profit at Rs 220.63 crore for quarter ended December FY23. Net premium income grew by 4.3 percent YoY to Rs 9,464.5 crore in Q3FY23.


ITC: The FMCG company has signed a binding term sheet to acquire a 100 percent stake in Sproutlife Foods, an Indian company primarily engaged in the business of manufacture and sale of food products under the trademark 'Yoga Bar'. The company will make an initial investment of Rs 175 crore in Sproutlife Foods for a 39.4 percent stake, which is expected to be completed by February 15, 2023.


Delta Corp: The casino gaming company has reported a 20.5 percent year-on-year growth in consolidated profit at Rs 84.82 crore for the quarter ended December FY23, led by other income and operating revenue. Revenue from operations increased by 10.6 percent YoY to Rs 273.4 crore in Q3FY23.


Rail Vikas Nigam: The company has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the commissioning of power supply receiving and distribution system for Surat Metro Rail Project Phase-I with a cost Rs 673.8 crore, and for Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-II with a cost of Rs 384.3 crore. Siemens is the lead partner with a 65 percent share and RVNL is having 35 percent share in these projects.
